At 4:00 on the afternoon of April 13th, 2019, as the last badminton fell on the ground, Cainengyufei Shimen Cup badminton match organized by Graduate Student Union of School of Energy and Graduate Student Union of School of Materials finished perfectly. Twelve groups in total, including undergraduates, graduates and teachers attended this match.
The competition was divided into two stages: the round robin and the knockout. Eight teams that win in the round robin will enter the knockout. After the lottery, the twelve teams are divided into four groups of ABCD, respectively.
In the round robin stage, each team showed a solid ball skill and good psychological quality. The battle situation has become more and more anxious. The four materials teams in the upper half competed according to the round-robin scores. The lower half of the team was confronted by three energy teams and one material team. In the end, A2, A3, C3, and C1 defeated their opponents with a big score of 3:0, 3:1, 3:0, and 3:0, respectively, and entered the semi-finals.
In the second half of the game, not only the physical and technical considerations of the players, but also the test of the mentality of the game were tested. Every action of the game effects the hearts of the audience. After the competition in the upper and lower half, A2 and C3 entered the championship and third place games with a score of 3:1 and 3:2 respectively. In the championship game, the materials school Light Badminton team won the championship with the 3:0 advantage over the energy school Spring Blossoms team; in the third runner-up, the materials school Beautiful Electron Microscope Team also beat the energy with a 3:1 advantage. Although the process was intense and intense, everyone was happy in the game. The players showed superb skills and good style.
