报告人简介：
Dr. Laurent Bellaiche is a distinguished professor at Institute for Nanoscience and Engineering and Department of Physics, University of Arkansas (US). He was graduated from Department of Physics, University of Paris VI (France) in1988, and was awarded MS and PhD degrees both in materials science by University of Paris VI, in1990 and 1994, respectively. During Sept. 1995 – Aug. 1997 he worked at N.R.E.L (CO) as a postdoctoral fellow. Then, he worked in Rutgers University during Sept. 1997 – Dec. 1998 as a postdoctoral fellow.
Dr. Bellaiche was appointed assistant professor by University of Arkansas in January 1999, and was promoted associate professor in September 2003 and full professor in August 2006, respectively. Since September 2006,he was appointed Twenty-First Century Professor in Nanotechnology and Science Education by University of Arkansas. He was appointed distinguished professor by University of Arkansas since September 2013. Also, he is a visiting professor for several universities around the world including LIST (Luxembourg), Xi’an Jiaotong University (China) and Ecole Centrale (France).
His recent scientific interests cover many hot topics in the fields of condensed mater physics and materials science, primarily ferroelectrics, ferromagnetics and multiferroics. He has more than 230 papers published on the pier reviewed journals including Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Phys. Rev. Lett., Adv. Funct. Mater. and Phys. Rev. B ect. His papers have been cited more than 8,300 times, and his H-index has reached 48.
